Able Enable

Good Afternoon.

Last week was a no go with the Ayr Gold Cup meeting abandoned so nothing to report on that front.

The Arc is almost docking, again at Chantilly this year as was the case last  year whilst its regular port of Longchamp is being renovated.

We indicated last week that it was a cracking field and so it still is.

There are some great each way chances especially with Order of St George @ 11/1 (3rd last year)and Highland Reel @14/1 (2nd last year) but we must stay with wonder filly Enable.

This horse has beaten the lot this year and only the effects of being on the go all season may stop her. We said earlier in the season that she reminded us of Shergar when she won the Cheshire Oaks in May and she has not let us down. GO ENABLE GO!!

Also, keep your eye on the German horse Dschingis Secret @12/1 who is improving rapidly.

Winter’s participation is on hold at the moment and she may run in the Prix de l’Opera instead. Finally, for Arc day back both Limato @11/2 and Brando & 14/1 in the Prix de Foret, these are top sprinters.

For the Cambridgeshire on Saturday we suggest you stick with Thundering Blue @ 8/1 Each Way, the horse is on a roll.

Good luck, as usual.

GLORIOUS GOODWOOD

Hello folks

So, we must admit that last week’s July Cup run of The Tin Man was a bit of a surprise! He wasn’t beaten by much, as it was a sprint, but he was beaten by horses he had recently thumped. The surprise was that he was not in the frame.
Caravaggio surrendered his unbeaten record in the race and it was no surprise, we fancied him as a lay.  Brando, who we thought would run and tipped at Royal Ascot, ran a cracker in third at 28/1, after a fair lay off. He must not be missed on the run up to the end of the flat. In fact, it would come as no surprise to see him lump top weight and murder them all again in the Ayr Gold Cup!

Enable, another favourite of ours, romped the Irish Oaks but we were put off by the price and track. The filly is becoming a fair horse with three consecutive Oaks on her CV and we recall her Cheshire Oaks win which, on the day, reminded us slightly of Shergar’s win at Chester; let us see how she progresses.

We have looked at this weekend’s racing but Haydock and Newbury are not tipsters meat so we look forward to Goodwood and will be back next week with our selections unless before, we have a Roll Up selection.

Stay cool.

ROYAL ASCOT

15.06.2017

ROYAL ASCOT

Well, Royal Ascot looms  next week and it looks a great card over the five days.

Our Derby meeting tips yielded 1 winner at 6/1 (advised price) in ENABLE  with a great win in The Oaks and a close up fourth in The Derby with EMINENT who was rather unlucky when squeezed for room in the last 100 yards. Never mind, we still had a profit and more if your bookmaker paid out on the fourth. EMINENT must be followed as he is knocking at the door and a big one is due.

Now to business.

The main bet is on Wednesday with LAUGH ALOUD & QEMAH in Duke of Cambridge Stakes. Both are 4/1 at the moment and a single on each will give 6/4……..BACK THEM BOTH!!

Others we fancy next week are as follows:

LADY AURELIA  7/2    Tuesday

CHURCHILL        4/6    Tuesday

DE BRUYNE HORSE   EW 8/1 Tuesday

BIG ORANGE EW  12/1 Thursday

CARAVAGGIO 5/4  Friday

WINTER 7/10 Friday

THE TIN MAN 8/1 & BRANDO  16/1 both EW Saturday.

Good luck with these and don’t forget to review our ROLL UP page!

Well, last weekend delivered two winners in the Irish classics, Churchill & Winter and a non runner in Minding (injured). Both won very easily and we hope that you did the double and treble as we confidently recommended. Obviously, the double became a single and the treble became a double because of Minding’s non participation.

We are now at stages three and four this weekend of our own classics with the Oaks and Derby at Epsom.

This site is a big fan of Rhododendron but the price of 10/11 in the Oaks on Friday looks a tad short for such a competitive race so we suggest the following:

Two each way singles and an each way double

Enable – The Oaks

Eminent – The Derby

Both are around 6/1 and have great place claims as Enable scooted around Chester and Eminent ran well in the 2000 gns.

E seems to be the letter of the week with Epsom-Enable-Eminent – lets hope its excellent for you!!

Good luck and don’t forget to check our Roll up page. We won’t be hurried and think that we will start stage 1 at Royal Ascot unless a good thing crops up earlier.
