Able Enable

Good Afternoon.

Last week was a no go with the Ayr Gold Cup meeting abandoned so nothing to report on that front.

The Arc is almost docking, again at Chantilly this year as was the case last  year whilst its regular port of Longchamp is being renovated.

We indicated last week that it was a cracking field and so it still is.

There are some great each way chances especially with Order of St George @ 11/1 (3rd last year)and Highland Reel @14/1 (2nd last year) but we must stay with wonder filly Enable.

This horse has beaten the lot this year and only the effects of being on the go all season may stop her. We said earlier in the season that she reminded us of Shergar when she won the Cheshire Oaks in May and she has not let us down. GO ENABLE GO!!

Also, keep your eye on the German horse Dschingis Secret @12/1 who is improving rapidly.

Winter’s participation is on hold at the moment and she may run in the Prix de l’Opera instead. Finally, for Arc day back both Limato @11/2 and Brando & 14/1 in the Prix de Foret, these are top sprinters.

For the Cambridgeshire on Saturday we suggest you stick with Thundering Blue @ 8/1 Each Way, the horse is on a roll.

Good luck, as usual.

Hello all.

This weekend stages the start of some high class racing, starting with the King George & Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot and then breaking into next week with the fabulous Goodwood meeting settled high on the Sussex downs, overlooking the English Channel, a truly wonderful spectacle.

Looking at the King George it is hard to look past the wonder filly Enable….. she is in the form of her life and gets a healthy weight concession from the older horses. What tempts us though is the 5/1 offered for last year’s winner the prolific Group 1 winner Highland Reel. The horse must surely be placed, at least, and at these odds backing Each Way looks too good to miss. Perhaps a saver also on Enable would compliment.

A plethora of good things are down to run at Goodwood. These include Big Orange, Ribchester, Limato and Winter. In the cavalry charge that is the Stewards Cup we fancy Duke of Firenze Each Way of course at 33/1 having come a close 5th and unlucky in the race last year; with a decent draw and a bit more luck the horse should run well.

Keep checking this site for selection No.2 of the Roll Up.

Happy punting.
