TINGLE CREEK CHASE

TINGLE CREEK CHASE

Good evening.

Well, last Saturday saw our unlucky selection Singlefarmpayment fall in the Ladbroke at a critical stage as he had just reached the subsequent first and second, Total Recall and Whisper from a long way back. Mark our words, this horse is due.

This weekend sees Aintree and Sandown.

At Aintree, there would be no better winner than Vicente or Cloudy Dream sporting the famous green & white colours of Trevor Hemmings in the inaugural running of the MANY CLOUDS CHASE. These are the colours that Many Clouds wore in his many victories……what a great horse he was…..so sad, the day he broke Thistlecrack then ended his life; what a horse he was.

At Sandown, we fancy a small double on Brain Power in the Henry V111 Novices Chase and Douvan, on his return in the Tingle Creek. Let’s hope that Douvan is back to his best after his Queen Mother flop…..his first defeat after thirteen wins on the bounce.

Great news on the Roll Up front again, please see the page.

Remember, Singlefarmpayment is DUE!!

BETFAIR CHASE

BETFAIR CHASE

The Major is back!!

Good afternoon all. Well we gave racing a miss for a while for things to settle whilst the jump season develops, that is, apart from good news from the Roll Up page;please click on tab above.

Yes, the Roll Up is at stage four !!

Back to business for the weekend.

It’s the Grade 1 Betfair Chase at Haydock on Saturday which looks a match between the up and coming mudlark Bristol De Mai and the ever popular Cue Card.

We lean towards Bristol for the reasons that he will get the ground, his recent Charlie Hall win was top class and Cue Card is unfortunately, “getting on.”
Bristol De Mai will win a Gold Cup one day if it ever turns up heavy at Cheltenham, he is only six. He won at Haydock on soft in January so get on at 11/8.

We also fancy course specialist Clyne   @ 11/2 –1.50 Haydock and Vintage Clouds @ 11/2 –3.35 Haydock.

We suggest two win singles and an each way double.

Remember, watch out for leg 4 of the Roll Up.

Happy weekend.

Major Domo.

Breeders Cup

Good evening all.

Sorry about last Saturday. We should have stuck to our original selection of Order of St George but were swayed by Harry Angel who looked invincible;not sure he likes Ascot! Our four trebles yielded two winners & two placed which wasn’t quite good enough.

On the Roll Up front we have now selected two consecutive non runners for leg 3 but please be patient, we have a runner lined up for next week’s Breeders Cup!

On the home front this weekend we don’t really fancy anything apart from Singlefarmpayment  at Cheltenham, if it runs! Back it each way as it will be its seasonal debut. This horse was very unlucky at the festival when touched off on the line and beaten a nose.

Keep well and see you next week in America!!

LIMATO CERT

10.10.2017

Limato cert

Good evening.

Well last week we were  touched off by Roly Poly when Persuasive just failed to catch her, sorry but O’Brien is on a mission with Group One successes this season.

Looking forward to weekend we think that, provided the ground is good or better, Limato is a good thing at Newmarket on Friday. Get on at 9/4.

At York, on Saturday, we fancy both Hyperfocus 8/1 & Boundsy 16/1  in the Coral Sprint. Get on both.

Last week we referred to leg 3 of the Roll Up so please see the relevant page.

Happy days

July Cup

July Cup

Good morning.

Well here we are with mid summer approaching and Royal Ascot seeming a life time ago.

We mentioned the Eclipse Stakes last week which is due to be run on Saturday but looking at the field we find it too open to choose. What we will say is that our old favourites from the Guineas, Eminent & Barney Roy have great chances and if we were to bet it would be on both of these giving a return of 6/4 at current prices of 4/1 each of them.

The big July meeting next week at Newmarket so don’t forget to have a peep.

We are also waiting for our 2nd Roll Up tip so keep checking.

Rhododendron

09.05.2017

Well last week brought mixed luck with Selection 2 in the Roll Up successful but only two seconds in our suggested Guineas bet.

Both runners up, Barney Roy & Rhododendron had mixed luck stories and must be followed, especially Rhododendron who had to switch at a vital moment and was also running on her seasonal debut. Barney Roy is still lacking experience.

See the Roll Up page for further news.

One For Arthur 14/1

One For Arthur 14/1

12.04.17

Well, last week was a mixed bag. Out of our three national selections we gave the winner One For Arthur with The Last Samurai up there most of the way before weight told and Definitly Red very unlucky at Bechers when hampered…….his day will come. As we said last week you must have at least three selections to mitigate bad luck.

Of our other three selections, two were non runners and On The Fringe blundered at the chair…….we will give this brave horse one more chance as he has nothing to prove, perhaps it is age or he is missing Nina.

So, all in all, four runners with one winner at 14/1 makes a nice 11 point profit!
