The Tin Man

The Tin Man

12.07.2017

Good afternoon.

Last week’s Eclipse result was no surprise as we felt that Cliffs Of Moyer was a poor priced favourite, although we do admit that it was rather unlucky in running. One of our tentative suggestions Barney Roy nearly pulled it off when beaten a nose when finishing late, that’s racing!

We have had a good hard look at Newmarket’s famous July course meeting and lots of Royal Ascot winners and close losers litter the cards.

Looking at Frontiersman on Thursday we have been put off by Stoute’s improving Poet’s Word so, after much analysis, we have decided that we will go for an old favourite of ours on Saturday in the July Cup, this being The Tin Man.

Caravaggio is hot favourite and unbeaten but he is meeting seasoned, older sprinters and we feel that “Tinny” named after that great jockey of yesteryear, the immortal Fred Archer, is great value at 6/1 EACH WAY. The horse has the beating of most of these apart from the unpreviously raced against 3-y-o favourite. We would much rather take the 6/1 each way and more or less be guaranteed a slight profit than the odds on of Caravaggio to win!

On the Roll Up front we were tempted with Enable in the Irish Oaks but have seen too many hotpots beaten at the Curragh so we will probably wait for Ribchester or Order of St George at the big Goodwood meeting soon.If anything suitable comes up before, for leg 2, we will give you ample notice.

So, please, watch this space.

Good afternoon!

Well, Royal Ascot did us proud last week with a plethora of winners, 7 from 9 selections including the Roll Up winner and two non runners in Laugh Aloud and Brando. Some good prices too including Big Orange recommended at 12/1 and The Tin Man at 8/1. We hope that you were on some of these tasty winners!

Ribchester at 11/10 got the Roll Up started again so watch that page daily although we generally target the classier races which are at major meetings.

In the meantime we are waiting for the Eclipse at Sandown and following that the Newmarket July meeting.

We have just started our Financial page so you could take a peep at those tips.

Remember, watch out for the 2nd selection of the Roll Up bet.

See you soon

ROYAL ASCOT

15.06.2017

ROYAL ASCOT

Well, Royal Ascot looms  next week and it looks a great card over the five days.

Our Derby meeting tips yielded 1 winner at 6/1 (advised price) in ENABLE  with a great win in The Oaks and a close up fourth in The Derby with EMINENT who was rather unlucky when squeezed for room in the last 100 yards. Never mind, we still had a profit and more if your bookmaker paid out on the fourth. EMINENT must be followed as he is knocking at the door and a big one is due.

Now to business.

The main bet is on Wednesday with LAUGH ALOUD & QEMAH in Duke of Cambridge Stakes. Both are 4/1 at the moment and a single on each will give 6/4……..BACK THEM BOTH!!

Others we fancy next week are as follows:

LADY AURELIA  7/2    Tuesday

CHURCHILL        4/6    Tuesday

DE BRUYNE HORSE   EW 8/1 Tuesday

BIG ORANGE EW  12/1 Thursday

CARAVAGGIO 5/4  Friday

WINTER 7/10 Friday

THE TIN MAN 8/1 & BRANDO  16/1 both EW Saturday.

Good luck with these and don’t forget to review our ROLL UP page!

Lockinge Stakes

Lockinge Stakes

17.05.2017

Saturday sees the running of that good mile race, The Lockinge,  at Newbury.

We see this panning out between the two class horses & market leaders Ribchester and Galileo Gold.

Backing both, at current odds, will give you an even money winner  should one of them win, which we are CONFIDENT of.

Good luck

The Guineas

Well the Roll Up  bet started favourably with a winner so fingers crossed!

Well the Roll Up  bet started favourably with a winner so fingers crossed!

Remember, check daily for news of the next selection on the ROLL UP PAGE.

It’s the Guineas meeting this weekend and  we don’t fancy Churchill so suggest this bet:

4 x 1pt doubles

2      Eminent & Barney Roy 2000 Gns Saturday

x

2      Rhododendron & Daban  1000Gns Sunday

TOTAL STAKE 4pts

Good Luck

One For Arthur 14/1

One For Arthur 14/1

12.04.17

Well, last week was a mixed bag. Out of our three national selections we gave the winner One For Arthur with The Last Samurai up there most of the way before weight told and Definitly Red very unlucky at Bechers when hampered…….his day will come. As we said last week you must have at least three selections to mitigate bad luck.

Of our other three selections, two were non runners and On The Fringe blundered at the chair…….we will give this brave horse one more chance as he has nothing to prove, perhaps it is age or he is missing Nina.

So, all in all, four runners with one winner at 14/1 makes a nice 11 point profit!

Back soon

Definitly Red

Definitly Red

Well, punters we know what it is this weekend don’t we, so no introductions and to the point.

One of the most wrongly spelt words in the dictionary is DEFINITELY, did you know that! Anyway, what we are alluding to is that our main selection in Saturday’s big one is Definitly Red.……spot it…..wonder how many will spell the horse’s name correctly/incorrectly when writing out their bets……get it! We fancy this one.

Also, one must have a minimum of at least three selections in the national otherwise it could be all over after the first so we recommend The Last Samurai & One for Arthur with just as much confidence of good runs.

There look to be some good Cheltenham winners ready to win again but also some placed ones and suggest that On the Fringe, that great hunter, will atone.

On Friday we like our old favourite Clyne 16/1 and also Golden Jeffrey 10/1 in the flat race.

A happy three days.
