ROLL UP ROLL UP
Nothing much of interest to us this weekend, again, maybe next weekend with the Imperial Cup. That Global Citizen looked a real flier at Kempton and may take his chance next week in the race.
In the meantime, we concentrate on LEG 6 of THE ROLL UP…….yes…… LEG 6. We are there already, as last Saturday produced our eleventh consecutive win. So please refer to the page.
See you soon
Nothing fancied this week on the casual front, we are too near to Cheltenham, but we have a selection for Leg No. 5 in the ROLL UP. Please go to the page.
See you soon.
Short and sweet this week folks.
Well, last Saturday, our old favourite, Native River romped home on his seasonal reappearance at Newbury in the Denman Chase. What a good horse he his and he must have a great chance of bettering his Gold Cup 3rd of last season, next month.
This Saturday, we fancy Ms Parfois @ 7/2 in The Sodexo Reynoldstown Chase at Ascot. This mare is on a great run and must be backed until beaten.
See you soon.
Great news again on the Roll Up, please go to the page.
Last week saw some fabulous racing at Leopardstown, especially the performance of Samcro, this is some horse!
Our each-way selection Rhinestone was just beaten into second by Blackbow after coming from a long way back, they were 15 lengths clear of the field, this is the best bumper form on offer. No sweat, you got your money back!
This weekend sees the return at Newbury of Gold Cup third and Welsh National winner Native River. He is our only fancy @evens. The Betfair Hurdle looks too open and we offer only tentative selections in Bleu Et Rouge and Remiluc.
Again, please go to the Roll Up page.
THE ROLL UP
Well, not a good start this year but plenty of time yet with more Cheltenham trials.
Last Saturday saw Bristol De Mai give a sketchy jumping display against the winner of the Cotswold, Definitly Red, an old favourite of ours, which would have been our selection for this year’s National, now depending on Gold Cup participation, when it would also have a sound each-way chance.
Wholestone shirked the issue when cantering up the Cheltenham hill to be then run out of it and finish second.
For this weekend’s racing, there is a fabulous meeting over two days at Leopardstown, The Dublin Festival with the usual suspects of Faughheen, Footpad and co. We think that Rhinestone in the Goffs flat race on Saturday is a great each way bet @5/1.
Good news though, the Roll Up is now at stage 3 after Apple’s Shakira facile win in leg No.2. Please go to the page for more news.
Back next week for The Betfair Hurdle (The Schweppes) at Newbury.
Well, last Saturday was a quiet affair with one non-runner, Vieux Lion Rouge and a loser, Clyne who hurdled poorly on his favourite track after a spell of novice chasing…make your mind up trainer!
On a better note, The Roll Up kicked off leg No.1 with an easy winner in Un de Sceaux at Ascot. That puts £17.27 in the kitty for leg No. 2 so watch this space.
Saturday sees the Cotswold Chase at Cheltenham, a race won last year by the ill-fated hero Many Clouds. This year the race looks to be at the mercy of Bristol De Mai who was suffering from ulcers in the King George. Our other tip is two win singles on Finians Oscar @ 3/1 & Wholestone @ 7/2 in the Cleeve Hurdle which should get you even money the two.
